Self-hosted licences
Run it on your own machine, on your own terms
A licence is per install and lasts a year. Verification is offline against a pinned public key, so the panel keeps working whether or not anything of ours is reachable — including on a network with no route out at all.

Hosted vs self-hosted
The same console. A different set of keys.
Host-level tools are deliberately absent from a hosted workspace — a workspace admin is a stranger to our machine. On your own install, the admin already owns the box.

Billing questions
The awkward ones, answered
How is a "user" counted?
A user is a person with a login to your workspace. API tokens, the cpctl
CLI and the CI webhook are not users and are never billed — automation should not cost you a seat.
Do you charge per host, per service or per check?
No. That model punishes you for monitoring more of your estate, which is the opposite of what we want. Paid plans are unlimited on environments, services and uptime checks.
What is in the 14-day trial?
Everything in the plan you picked, with no card. If you do nothing at the end of it, the workspace drops to Free rather than locking you out.
Can I pay by invoice or purchase order?
Yes, on annual Business and on every Enterprise and self-hosted licence. Card and bank transfer both work; we can complete a vendor form and a security questionnaire.
What happens when a self-hosted licence expires?
The panel shows its activation screen and stops serving the console. Nothing is
deleted — config/, history and the audit log stay exactly where they are, and renewing
restores access immediately. A licence that is still valid keeps working forever without a network.
Can I move a self-hosted licence to a different machine?
A soft licence is not tied to hardware at all — it survives re-imaging and moves with you. A machine-bound licence has activation slots; release the old one and activate the new machine. In containers, set a stable machine ID so a rescheduled pod does not burn a slot.
Do you offer discounts?
Annual billing is 20% off, and there are meaningful reductions for startups under ten people, registered non-profits and education. Ask — the worst case is we say no.
Can I start hosted and move to self-hosted later?
Yes, and people do. It is the same software; settings export from one install and clone into another. We credit unused hosted time against the licence.
